- Governance and Accreditation
- Thames Academy is a transitional program operated by Mitchell College to assist college and career bound students manage their learning disabilities through academic preparation and the acquisition of learning strategies, assistive technologies, and social and daily living skills. Thames Academy is part of a continuum of specialized support for students with learning disabilities at Mitchell College. Thames Academy, Disability Student Services, and the Bentsen Learning Center are three of the most important organizational components of our support system. The Mitchell College Board of Trustees, the President of the College, and members of the President’s senior leadership team exercise governance. The New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) accredits Mitchell College. The College has been continuously accredited for over five decades.
